Giving up on your dream career doesn’t mean that you are a failure. In fact, I don’t see it as giving up, rather, evolving into the person you are meant to be.
Ever since I can remember I wanted to become a broadcast journalist. So when I graduated, I got a job at my dream company as a news assistant and worked my way up to web producer.
Over the past year, I did an abundance of soul searching. But I also know in my heart that I don’t want to cover car crashes and fire stories for the rest of my life.
My passion and goal in life are to share other’s stories and bring light to issues that really matter. That’s not to say, tragedies such as car crashes and fire don’t matter but that isn’t the kind of storytelling I want to do.
I’m still dabbling on the idea of giving up becoming a broadcast journalist because it is the only career I have a passion for. There is no one-way road to success and I’m finally coming to terms with that.

The choices I have made, have lead me to where I am today. It is okay to change what you want to do but you have to live your BEST LIFE.
