Three months ago, Amanda Allison and I hosted an amazing event that has changed my life for the better. I’m still on a high from the Fresno Women’s and it’s surreal that WE pulled off an event bigger than our imaginations.
The Fresno Women’s Summit empowers and inspires women in a small, intimate setting. This year’s theme was all things digital for creative women in the Central Valley. In our one-day summit, women had the opportunity to listen to panels about branding and crafting their passion, engage in hands-on social media workshops, and connect with each other in a safe and positive space.

Being a girl boss is hard. I’ll be the first to admit that. There are days when I just want to lounge around in the house and not do anything. Then there are days when I’m super pumped up to get everything and anything done. On those days, I try to maximize my energy and take full advantage of it.
Being a girl boss means being the first to step up to and speak about what you’re are passionate about. Even when everyone around you doubts your dreams or talents, you find a way to make it happen.
I recently found a quote that really stuck out to me,” Being a dreamer doesn’t mean you walk around with your head in the clouds. It means you’re becoming fulfilled in the process. People that get into the habit of dreaming BIG will accomplish those goals because they have the right mindset.”
Just remember the vision you have at first everyone will question WHY you do what you do, later people will ask you HOW you do it.
One last thing, remember to help those around you. Being a girl boss is being a leader and influencer. What is meant for you is meant for you because no one can take your hustle. No one can take your sparkle.
